Equipped with their fins, mask and snorkel, the school children of Baie St Anne in Praslin set out to explore the coral reefs of Curieuse Marine Park. Their objective: to learn more about the functioning of the coral reefs and the pressures they face in order to set up a conservation action at their scale, as if they were themselves the managers of the Park.
Supervised by IRD scientists and local scientists, this educational approach brings together students, educators, parents and local decision-makers to strengthen the Science-Society dialogue.
